When you book a vehicle there are two costs involved:

Time-Based Costs

Time-based costs, as indicated in the app, are charged based on the time you book. There is a one-hour minimum for all programs after which time is charged based on 15-minute increments.

Example 1: You only need the car for half an hour. The minimum booking time is one hour, so even though you can book for less than an hour in the app, you will be charged for one hour. This is shown in the estimated costs in the app.

Example 2: You need the car for one hour and 20 minutes. You can book the car for one hour and 20 minutes and the estimated costs show that you will be charged for one and half hours (1 hour plus 2 quarter hours - see green circled area in the image below).

<aside> 💲 Caution: if you exceed the time you booked, there is a penalty fee. If you think you will return later than your scheduled time, extend the time in the app to avoid this penalty fee. If you are unable to extend your time in the app it means there is another reservation within 30 minutes so if you return late you will be charged the penalty fee.

Distance-Based Costs

Each hour of rental includes a set number of miles or kilometers. This mileage allowance is aggregated and can be used over the course of your booking. For example, if your rate includes 25 miles of driving per hour of booking time and you book for three hours, that means you have 75 miles that can be used at any point during that three hour booking.

In the examples above, the orange circle shows that this planned booking includes 41 kilometers (25 miles) for the one-hour minimum booking. The green circle shows the 61 kilometers (roughly 38 miles) included in the one and a half hour booking.

<aside> 🚧 The app shows distances in kilometers and the cost is shown for kilometers driven in excess of the allowance. It is adjusted for the miles and corresponding costs shown in the fees and fines section of the website.
