Car Won’t Unlock/Start

<aside> 🔑 Car won't open or start? Try unlocking the vehicle (even if it's already unlocked): press the "Lock" button in the app, then the Unlock button and try again. Still not working - try closing and re-opening the app or end your booking (see Forced Return) and create a new booking.

If you need roadside assistance and have not received a reply from Customer Support, please press the OnStar button (above the rear-view mirror) in vehicles equipped with OnStar (the Chevy Bolt) and email [email protected] or text the support line at 831-228-8190 to let us know.

Once you press the OnStar button you will be connected to an operator. Explain that you are not the owner of the car (which is Sway Mobility) but the driver and need assistance. They will arrange for a tow truck to meet you and the vehicle.

If you can not stay with the vehicle until assistance arrives, please try to move the vehicle to safe place off the road (ideally a parking lot). Please contact Sway support to let us know you are leaving the vehicle and if you have contacted OnStar or not.
